Learning to use the command line

So I’ve spent the later half of this week properly setting up a command line workflow with Cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com) and I have to say it feels pretty nice. There’s a lot of things I can do a lot fast that if I were using a GUI alternative. The default terminal for Cygwin is however lacking, so I found some nice alternatives today: minitty (available as a Cygwin package) and Console (http://console.sourceforge.com). I did all this mostly to use the todo.txt CLI (http://todotxt.com). I spent most of last night customizing the shell (prompt and color). There a few wonky things left with my setup. One, whenever I access a man page, it takes more than 10 seconds for it to load. And my PATH doesn’t seem to include the correct PATH variable from Windows.
